I’m Kylie Lane Fontaine. Fortunately for me, when I got married I was able to take on a name that rhymes. I’m 28 years old, married, a mom of a quirky basset hound x catahoula leopard dog (a  w h a t ?) named Jackson, and two kitties named Mo and Friday.

In June 2018, my husband and I bought our first home. And we love it. And I am slowly (in a not-so-slow but not-immediate kind of way) making our home exactly what we want it to be. A neutral lover’s dream. Grays, whites, greenery and stark pops of black is everything I dream of.

But I also find it extremely important to live affordably. I oogle over other instagram accounts and find myself wishing I could have what they have. When they can afford antique rugs for $600+ and complete kitchen remodels, clawfoot tubs, wine cellars, salt caves (just kidding)… But then I snap back to reality and remember I have the life I live, and I am more than blessed to be walking in these shoes. We can all have beautiful homes, and more importantly, homes we love and feel good in, with affordable prices.

So that’s why I’m here. That’s why I’m starting this blogging journey. It IS possible to have an insta-worthy home with a realistic budget. And more importantly, a house that you F E E L good in.
